illustration-of-a-victorian-era-couple-dancing-at-a-ballJust over two weeks now until registration for BAVS 2016 comes to a close! The registration deadline is 31 July, 2016. We encourage you to book before the deadline (if you haven’t already), as some of the events – such as the dinner and the various local tours – are first-come, first-served.

The programme has been updated, and can be found at this link and under the ‘Programme‘ tab. This includes more information about keynotes, special sessions, and exhibitions during the conference. If you would like to chair any of the panels that are still open, please send us an e-mail at bavs2016@cardiff.ac.uk to let us know.

In the meantime, please note that the registration package does not include accommodation. Accommodation must be booked SEPARATELY. Our ensuite campus accommodation is now fully booked, but our campus-based Aberconway Hall (semi-ensuite flat, bathroom shared between two; if you wish to share with a friend, please give their name) and Talybont North (ensuite; 15 minute walk to conference venue) are still available. If you wish to book rooms in either Aberconway Hall or Talybont, please go to the page below and click the link to ‘special accommodation‘ under ‘University Accommodation’: http://bavs2016.co.uk/location-travel/book-your-accommodation/.

This link will also take you to a list of non-affiliated hotel accommodation in Cardiff.

Please note that if there is insufficient interest, the rooms we have reserved for the conference are likely to be released towards the end of July. If you have not booked accommodation yet and wish to benefit from the very competitive rate of our university accommodation, please do so now.
